The Tiziano Project was founded on the idea that it is morally unacceptable to have YouTube a undocumented injustice in the world at the same point in human history. The Tiziano Project provides community members in conflict, post-conflict, and underreported regions with the equipment, training, and affiliations necessary to report their stories and improve their lives.
The Tiziano Project has four pillars that it is dedicated to upholding in all that it does: 1) Provide technology and training using experienced journalists and specialists in emerging technologies; 2) Produce meaningful content and disseminate knowledge on a global scale; 3) Promote our students and foster job creation in the field of new media; 4) Pioneer new technologies and collaboration in new media and community journalism.
The group has done projects in the Congo, Kenya, (Iraqi) Kurdistan, Somalia, and Rwanda.
