Screen Leaders EU 2010

Event Summary

Jigsaw Global has been invited to be an adviser at Screen Leaders EU, a six-month-long, strategic company development program for experienced owner/managers working in the audiovisual industry. Participating companies include a film festival from Sweden, studios from Ireland, Norway, and the Czech Republic, and a composing team from Bulgaria. All ten companies were selected based on their overall achievements, willingness to change, and track record in their sector of the industry. Participants work with management training specialists and digital specialists throughout the program. The 2010 edition of the program started in June, with a module in Dublin, and continued in July with strategic planning sessions in Berlin. The module in Sitges is the final part of the 2010 training program.

The program focuses on personal management, strategic planning, and opportunities in the international marketplace. What makes Screen Leaders effective is the program's small size, the workshop-like structure, and the oversight from the organizers throughout the program to make sure that the instructional content is custom designed to address the specific needs of each company. This program is funded by the MEDIA Program of the European Union and FÁS - The Irish National Training and Employment Authority.

To qualify for the program, companies must be in the screen industries, with at least a 5-year track record in their industry sector. Once accepted, each company sends two, top executives to the course--preferably the CEO or president, plus the CFO, senior vice president, head of business affairs, or head of human resources.
