After a successful four-class series in 2010, the Screen Actors Guild has renewed Jigsaw's "Intro to Digital Media Production" class for this year. The first 2011 class will take place on June 15th at SAG HQ. There are spots for 35 participants, and an RSVP is required to attend (sagnewmediaevents at sag dot org). The classes are a collaboration between SAG New Media and Hollywood MOVE, an internal, member-driven SAG committee.

The classes are especially useful to SAG members:

who are producing a web series and need to build a website to promote the show
who are managing a company website
who are managing a personal website to market their talents.

Basic digital media production is covered in the 2-hour class, showing case studies from a Facebook app, mobile app, and several website builds to show how the same, basic process may be adapted to organize productions for different types of platforms and different types of content. Please note that this is not a web series production class.
