Michael Sládek makes long- and short-form films via his Brooklyn-based company Plug Ugly Films Inc. He directed, produced, shot and co-edited the much-lauded docu-comedy feature film CON ARTIST, which received a Jury Mention at Tribeca Film Festival 2009 and will have its World TV Premiere on Ovation in 2011. His music videos and no-budget narrative DEVILS ARE DREAMING (2004) have screened and won awards at numerous international festivals. Sládek also makes commercial videos for various clients while serving as the New York representative for SAGIndie. Former Personal Assistant to author Jamaica Kincaid, he was also MTV News Talent Coordinator and Floor Producer. Sládek grew up working in the live theatre as an actor and director and is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild.
